Minor in Political Science

A minor in Political Science requires 21 credits: 9 lower division and 12 upper division. Please see the information below for restrictions on which classes fulfill the requirements.

Choose three lower division classes from the following list:

• POLS 101 American National Government
• POLS 102 State and Local Government
• POLS 141 Contemporary Political Ideologies
• POLS 231 International Relations
• POLS 298 Introduction to Political Inquiry

Choose four upper division Political Science classes .

The following upper division classes do not count towards a Political Science Minor: POLS 494, 496, 498 or 499. Only 3 credits from either POLS 493 (internship) and 497 (independent study) are allowed.
