Pathfinders & Passageways: The Exploration of Canada

http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/2/24/index-e.html

From the first ancestors of the Paleo-Indian peoples who crossed the Bering land bridge to the northward explorations of Roald Amundsen many millennia later, many have sought to explore and map the modern-day country of Canada. This fine online exhibit from the National Library of Canada tells the story of these travelers and explorers through maps and essays that contain a number of helpful hyperlinks. Overall, this site offers a nice overview of the exploration of the country over its long history.
