American Cancer Society

Intern will work with the chief lobbyist and grassroots manager on a variety of issues, including Health insurance Reform on a national level, volunteer engagement with college students, and Smokefree Idaho.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

The intern will learn about legal issues pertaining to constitutional freedoms, the kinds of complaints that raise constitutional issues, how these complaints are addressed, and sources of assistance for persons with other kinds of complaints. The intern will also have the opportunity to attend ACLU of Idaho Legal Panel meetings, often to present issues and research to the panel; and lastly, interns will receive assistance with her/his writing skills and knowledge of constitutional law from the ACLU of Idaho Staff Attorney.

City of Boise Mayor's Office

Givens Pursley LLP - Government Affairs Group

The Government Affairs Group is seekling an intern for the 2010 Idaho State Legislative Session. This is a part time position, approximately 20 hours a week. Prior experience is not necessary. Students can choose between full-time (40hr/wk) and part-time (20hr/wk) positions.
