Please announce in your classes: Ada County Elections and Boise State are Recruiting College Poll Workers for the May 27 Primary Election Students: Here is an opportunity to get paid and contribute to democracy! Wanted: people who are ‘technically proficient’ to set up electronic voting machines. (If you can you turn on and un-jam your printer, you are techie enough!) What will you get? Pay is $75 and you’ll get a neat t-shirt. Job: set up assistive voting machines in the early morning on primary election day. You will work about 3 hours; from around 6:45 am until 10 am. Required: you will need to take a training session for approximately one hour. (Training sessions are currently planned on campus for Wednesday April 30th, Thursday May 1st, Tuesday May 6th, and Saturday May 10th.) Also helpful: Have a valid driver’s license, car, and a cell phone. Mileage is reimbursed if you use your personal car. If you don’t drive, we will pair you with a driver if possible. Are you available all day? Ada County will need a few ‘techies’ throughout the day on May 27 as roving troubleshooters. Having a car and cell phone may be necessary for this position. You will earn more. Additional training will be required. How do I sign up? Interested?
